Accessibility Statement
Support Our Sport wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible. Accessibility is part of how the site is being designed, not an add-on.
What we are aiming for
Clear structure and meaningful headings.
Readable type, spacing and contrast.
Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls.
Visible focus states.
Useful link text rather than unexplained ‘click here’ links.
Alternative text for meaningful images.
Forms with clear labels, instructions and error messages.
Layouts that work across desktop and mobile and remain usable when text is enlarged.
Avoiding unnecessary animation, visual clutter and interactions that make information harder to reach.
Standards
The website is being built with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the working accessibility benchmark.
Known limitations
The website is still being developed and tested. There may be accessibility issues that we have not yet identified or resolved.
Particular attention is being paid to PDFs and downloads, embedded third-party content, form validation, keyboard navigation, focus order, colour contrast, zoom and reflow, and interactive search or filtering.
Documents and third-party content
Some older or third-party documents and linked resources may not meet the same accessibility standard as the Support Our Sport website.
Where Support Our Sport creates new public resources, accessibility will be considered as part of the production process. Support Our Sport cannot control the accessibility of external websites.
